Sarah had a very exciting first Easter. To start off the weekend, she experienced her first Easter egg hunt at Ana’s. Although she may have been a little oblivious to everything that was going on, she had a lot of fun.
After the fun Easter party at Ana’s, Sarah was sooo worn out, she came home and slept for over 12 hours straight! She was all ready the next morning for her first trip up to Reedley to meet some new people. Sarah had already met most of her family, but this was her first chance to meet her Great Grandma Ford, the Garza family and the some of the Johnson family.

Mystery solved…now we know which side of the family Sarah’s hair came from.

Grandpa Larry and Grandma Vicki

On the way home Sarah decided to try driving. She preferred being driven.
Sarah went in for her two month checkup on Friday. She’s in the 75% percentile for height, 25% for weight and 90% for head circumference. So far so good, she’s a healthy baby. We were very impressed with her during the vaccinations. There was a little crying, but once the shots were done and we picked her up she was okay.
After the first month we haven’t been as good in taking photos. We plan on posting some up soon.
We just picked up a new glider chair for our house. It’s the most comfortable chair in the house and I expect we’ll be spending many hours sitting there with Sarah rocking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth…
We put Sarah in the chair by herself for a minute…her happiness was short lived. She enjoys the chair a lot more when she’s held by mommy or daddy.
Sarah has been having a lot of discomfort the past few weeks. Originally we thought she was just colic, but after a trip to the doctors office it looks like it may also be acid reflex. We’re also thinking she may has a sensitivity to milk, so mommy is on a dairy free diet for a while. After a week on the medicine for acid relex Sarah is doing much better. She’s still pretty fussy, but the screaming fits have transitioned to more regular crying.
Today we went for her one month checkup. The appointment went well. Sarah is healthy and gaining weight. Currently she weighs in at 8lb 8oz and is 21.5″ in length.
She’s always on perfect behavior at the doctors office, no screaming, no crying, no fussing. Just sitting there with eyes wide open and playful.

Resting peacefully…getting ready for turning three weeks old…
The bag is packed, car seat installed, nursery set up and we’re ready to go. We’re now at the 37 week mark and baby girl Tout could be here any day. Just had the last ultrasound today (photos may require some interpretation) and she has chubby cheeks, big lips, and a very large head. The head is in the 94th percentile.
